Haverfordwest
A member of argent
architects produced this Community Hall near Haverfordwest
that was designed with Dyfed County Council and funded as a job
creation project. The hall is a magnificent space and serves particularly
well as a choral venue for the Christian Community at Langton. The
bay windows take full advantage of the wonderful views in this location
in North Pembrokeshire.
In the past couple of years we have
designed two community hall projects at Lampeter Velfrey and Johnston
are currently awaiting grant aid. The former involves a historic
building and is a conservation project as well as a community project.
We have also project managed the award winning Farms for City Children
project at Treginnis Farm, St Davids.

Tenby Museum and Bigyn School Carmarthenshire
Argent architects
produced the concept design and project managed the new gallery
at Tenby Museum.
Bigyn School, Llanelli was designed
with Dyfed County Council. On a steep site the classrooms take advantage
of the view over Llanelli and the bay. The assembly hall lower down
the slope draws the classrooms together. The planning department
was Carmarthenshire County Council.
Michael Argent also designed two
teaching blocks at Graig School while with Dyfed County Council.
We have also project managed the new infants block at Monkton CP
School, Pembroke and carried out conversion and extension work at
Whitland Comprehensive School for Pembrokeshire County Council.
