When you contact argent architects
we will arrange to meet you and discuss your project. This initial
meeting can be either at the site or at our offices and is free
of charge. Your project may be large or it may be small - in any
case it will receive our full attention. We will discuss your requirements
in outline and assess the extent of work required.
The project may be very simple and
just require some advice from us, or it may be larger and require
planning permission, listed buildings approval, building regulations
approval, and in addition there may be grants available for the
works envisaged. We can quote you for any or all of these, as required.
Following this, in the case of new
build we will obtain digital copies of Ordnance Survey drawings
if necessary and will overlay the proposals on these. In the case
of existing buildings, we will take measurements and prepare drawings
of and these will form the basis of the proposals. We will keep
in close touch with you and will develop the proposals in conjunction
with you.
Many people find 3-dimensional drawings
easier to read than conventional plans and sections, and we are
very pleased to present proposals in this way. It allows us to assess
alternative layouts with you and can also be very useful in the
later stages of a project for assessing furnishing and colours.
When proposals are agreed
we can prepare detailed information for building purposes and these
will be used by the builder for carrying out the work. We can either
recommend suitable builders or work with your builder. We are able
to administer the building contract to the completion of the work.
